Soft Tissue Release (STR)

This manual therapy technique uses a combination of pressure and a stretch through multiple planes of movement to stretch/lengthen muscle and connective tissue .

 

This combination is very effective for:

  • Stretching muscle and connective tissue
  • Decreasing scar tissue
  • Decreasing joint stiffness
  • Decreasing pain
  • Increasing venous and lymphatic drainage

Myofascial release:

A manual therapy technique that stretches connective tissue or fascia at both superficial and deep levels using translations, stroking, and rolling techniques.

 

Effective to restore mobility, decrease pain, improve movement and performance, and improve mechanics, circulation and function.

Myofascial release tools:

Patients are taught how to properly use devices to maintain progress achieved from athletic therapy treatment sessions.

  • Pinkie Ball for trigger point release
